Surprisingly good stay!

The staff provided prompt breakfast service each morning. Our room included good quality towels and nice bedding. I found ample parking space in the car park, a very easy thing. The hotel is close to the M6 making it very accessible.
The bathroom was not thoroughly cleaned. I noticed dust on the basin.

The reception staff greeted me with a smile, which I appreciated. The breakfast staff provided hot and freshly cooked food quickly. The staff responded quickly to all my needs.

The hotel has a good car park with ample space. I was able to easily find a spot. The hotel offers blankets and treats in reception with dogs. A very thoughtful touch.

The staff was friendly. I found the bar to be nice. The management and staff were amazing. They really cared about customer feedback.
The hotel is a little tired. It is also dated. The en-suite bathroom had a toilet too close to the left wall. The toilet roll holder was there. The noise from the road could be heard all night. I personally don't mind a bit of ASMR though.

Mediocre Stay. Some Issues Observed

My stay experienced a few drawbacks. The bathroom cleanliness was below acceptable standards, with noticeable dust accumulation around the sink area. This detracted from the overall feeling of hygiene. i found the breakfast offerings to be quite limited for the price charged. There was a distinct lack of variety in the cold food options, a deficiency that needs addressing. The constant traffic noise from the nearby highway was also a distraction.

the bar service was really top notch, i liked the tranquility near the river. there were great views from the bar onto the river. we sat on the outside patio and enjoyed drinks.
i found mold in several areas of the bathroom, my expectation was a super clean bathroom.
